Nothing matters more to me than having a voice that aligns with what I am truly passionate about. I think people fall into all different ranges of understanding their passion, as I share in the video below:
Have you discovered your passion?
Where are you on this continuum I speak of?
What do you do to keep your passion alive everyday?

She has been named one of the top marketing consultants by About.com, is a guest blogger for Showcasing Women and takes pride in moving you from “blah, blah, blah” to “BOOM, BOOM. BOOM!”
Thank you! Exactly what I needed to hear to get moving on some projects:)
I have discovered my passion Ann, and thanks to you, have found a way to get my voice out there. And yes, the way I have been able to express my passion in different ways over my life to date.
My passion is beauty in all forms, and my mission is to create beauty that uplifts people!
Thanks for all your help
Fantastic advice Ann! Very simple and straight forward. We all need to find and cultivate our true passions. Living your passion is the best way to live.
Thank you so much!

This post really resonates for me, Ann — I'm so happy that you stopped yourself on the way to workout to do the audio!
I've always had a passion for the written word. But, until now, that passion has been in the form of reading, journaling and business & resume writing (when I had my executive search firm), not the creative writing that I craved. Now, I'm attempting to use my passion for writing, and passion for dogs, together, in a creative way… and this is So much more fulfilling!
It's interesting that you point out, that the detractors from pursuing a passion, are often the people closest to you… I have definitely found that to be the case.
Thank you for another inspirational post!

Ann, Great advice. Working on knowing my passion and trying to find other like minded people. I know once I do, it will be a great motivator.
Thanks Ann!
Do you have to have one passion? I am passionate about my work as a Coordinator for the AuPair program and building up my own business. I'm also passionate about skiing, reading, travel, music and seeing bands, my kids and my family life. I've also discovered a new passion and it's blogging and using social media sites in a more focused way to meet like minded people. It has become way more for me than just growing my business (though that's obviously a good thing too). I am just loving the whole thing as I think you can tell in my video about Ann's bootcamp louiseedington.wordpress.com/2010/08/18/social-networking-coaching-club-with-ann-evanston/. I'm throwing myself into all of it and have just found a way to combine two of my loves – I've become a contributing writer on a book review blog. katiesbookcase.wordpress.com. I have a BIG feeling that this is all the start of something big – that I'm finding my real online voice and it's just so exciting as I don't quite know where this is all going to end up. I have goals but I think they may shift and change with all this. Of course – I'm discovering this all through your bootcamp Ann – I was on the scale of not having any voice or not knowing what my passion was back in April – LOL
I see what you mean about the detractors also though I think I am winning them over with my excitement about all that has been happening – they have stopped 'taking the piss' as us brits like to say. My supporters are the people I'm meeting online through blogging and through your bootcamp. Other people who have passions and are finding their voice.
Okay – enough – do you think I sound excited? Haha
Yes, you sound excited! and best of all, it's contagious!
OK Ann- now this is getting really freaky! This is the second week in a row that you posted on the exact same theme as my upcoming blog post (hopefully for Blogger Monday). I am writing about heart passions (because I started banding season with the hawks this week which brought up that subject for me!). I even used the same words (making your heart sing). Funny! Glad we can share great ideas.
I do have a bit of a different take on passions so we shall see. I enjoyed what you said! Thanks

Great tips on staying in touch with your passion. I like the distinction between family of origin vs. family of choice. Journaling is a little hard for me. I find that when things are going well, I don't journal. When things aren't going according to my expectations I journal a lot. Some work needed there.
Thanks Ann
This is the first week with Blogger Monday. After watching this video, I reflected on the experience of responding to a wide variety of comments. i am pleased to find i am still passionate about being a connector of people, ideas and resources. My wife, who has over twenty years of teaching on an indian reservation, told me I was a 'wise elder' and should be teaching rather than administering. i think I felt some of about what she was speaking, this week.
Thanks for the video. Thanks for Blogger Monday.
Thanks Ann. I've been contemplating passion lately and while I am passionate about my life, I find that I bring passion to the things that I find rather than the other way around. I recently finished Seth Godin's book Linchpin and he talks about this specifically. As long as I've known you and watched your career I see that you are able to bring passion to everything you do as well. I think it is a talent that serves us well.
Passion is the glue that creates who we are, more and more I realize how powerful following your passion is. It has made me come alive. Life is sweet, and anything is possible. Ann I love how you have the power to create passion in others, and to link us together. Thanks to you I have connected with so many passionate people, I have a big smile on my face all day long. Excellent points on moving with the river of change, and finding a way to connect and resonate with that passion. Dropping the fear factor to the floor, and stomping all over it. I love the idea that social media has given us permission to reveal our lumpy selves!
This really touched me, as I have been negligent in this area; I have always loved journaling ever since I was a little kid, but lately have not made the time to do it regularly. So, I am inspired to get back to doing this again — it is definitely the best way for me to tap into my passions, renew my strength, regain my peace and refocus my priorities. Thank you!
Really fantastic video! you're really a natural, easy to listen to, interesting and of course the content is top-notch.
1. Love “warrior-preneur” – what a descriptive, empowering brand!
2. Great point that the closest to us are often not the ones who will support your passion.
All the best,
Merlyn
thanks Merlyn!
Yes, the world does when we live our passion. In fact, the world becomes so much richer and fulfilling when we live our passion and touch other's with the spiritual electricity of our passions.
Also, I think that it was very useful to comment on how family members may not be the source of the juice to keep our passions alive.
Beautifully presented, Ann.
Hi Ann,
I just loved your message about discovering your passion in life and keeping it alive. I enjoy learning from exceptional people like yourself. Before working with my sister in real estate, I was a children's librarian. I loved working with children and making a difference in their informational needs. I am currently in a different work environment, but I my passion is connecting and empowering people with information that can help them make better real estate decisions. I do have other passions as well. Thank you for sharing this powerful message!
Evolution is so key to staying in alignment with your passion. If we don’t grow, we get stale and bored. Great reminder. My own world has made some major changes in the last year and now I have fully made the switch from painter in watercolor to artist using a camera. Loving it and creating it and allowing it to evolve.
Ann, I do love how you take a seemingly out-of-reach concept and turn it into a very attainable goal for anyone and everyone! I know that as I step into this new arena in my life, oftentimes it can seem so overwhelming, but the simple, yet complex, idea presented here is one that could easily help me get and stay focused on what I need to be focused on. Thanks again, Ann.
