I find for MANY entrepreneurs this is one of the biggest challenges. Often because entrepreneurs have a strength to like new ideas, see new opportunities, and are often eclectic! This strength can also be a curse when it comes to growing your business Here are my thoughts:
It is time to take action!
Where do you struggle with getting it done? Or acting as if in your business?
Ann M. Evanston is a “Chief Breakthrough Officer” teaching other Business Warriors how to slow down, and find the most unique part of their business that makes them stand out among the crowd. She has been named one of the top marketing consultants by About.com, is a guest blogger for Showcasing Women and takes pride in moving you from “blah, blah, blah” to “BOOM, BOOM. BOOM!”
I love this part…”If you are like me and you need your business to be making you money…and not have other people supporting your hobby, not your business…” If more people thought about not taking action in this way, they would be more likely to get moving. Often, perfectionism just equals procrastination, so your point about just finishing something and getting it out there is the best antidote!

Hear hear, Ann! Honestly, I have no patience for people who say they are going to do something and then never follow through. I understand there are a lot of factors involved (mostly fear), but if they only would take the first step, they would see how things flow from there. I’ve been “just doing it” since I opened my tutoring business and it’s so rewarding. Thanks for another great tip!
Great tip. I gave myself the directive “Just Do It” at the end of a list of 10 places to focus this year. I absolutely know that if I wait til I’m Totally Ready, I’ll never leave my house, lol. Especially as with ,as you say, so many other entrepreneurs, my biz, which I named in 1994, continues to evolves and reframe.
yes, I am just doing it, doing too many things. Narrowing the focus and it makes so much more sense! I am excited about making it clearer what I do and focusing on particular markets instead of “anything for a buck” that was my previous way of doing business. You help me stay on track so much Ann. You are my hero!
I do tend to procrastinate to make things “just right” so this is exactly what I need to hear. It also takes me time, sometimes, to become comfortable, but sometimes I need to get out of my comfort zone and “just do it!”
I like your tip . You have some really good advice to coming Entrepreneurs. Take action, start moving. Having a dream without action is like having a GPS without ever getting in the car.Do It Do it!!
One thing that I have been consistent with in my marketing efforts over the last three years is to just put one foot in front of the other and do it. Even though money wasn’t coming in as regularly as it used to due to the economy, I stuck with my marketing tasks. Now, I am beginning to see some change. My efforts beginning to bear fruit. It’s been quite a journey!
Jump in! Get it done! My mantra.
Best advise ever. We often use those excuses because we are afraid. Just do it is so so true!

I so agree with you. It is so simple. However, sometimes ‘just do it’ is easier said than done! People have to overcome their inner demons! But once that is done, then movement forward is swift.
I posted this on the Our Little Books FB page yesterday morning because if fits with my challenge to everyone to become a published author in 2012!

I find it is just too much to do. I literally need employees. Thinking of getting a VA next.
