Success and having Powerful Relationships

Success and having Powerful Relationships

I firmly believe that my powerful relationship lends it’s hand in my success. In my online course, Vision of your Most Influential Self, I reinforce the purpose and power of making sure you nurture ALL areas of your life for success including relationships. We recently did just that. Saturday was filled with tons of running errands with my spouse. I know that might not sound amazing, but it was with my husband all day we got our grocery shopping done, we did several things related to our garden so that we could spend Sunday at home. We get to talk and support each other when we do it together.

Late Saturday afternoon we sat in our gorgeous garden listening to music and having some wine. We laughed and talked and then we decided to go have sushi for dinner! It was totally unplanned in spirit of the moment. Both of us were in our sweats from running around I didn’t even have makeup on!

The sushi joint we go to we are typically regulars at, we had not been to in a while with the cleanse we were on. It was great to see the owner and her beautiful baby, and Gil our favorite sushi chef did a great job. We broke in the new waitress Rachel because our favorite waitress Angela moved on last year. Rachel can hang! lol

While sitting there, we decided to go visit Angela at the place she bar tends at! So from sushi we headed to her bar. Earl was determined that the bar was over off another exit and I kept saying no baby it’s that exit over there behind the Safeway! So we had a little driving adventure before we got there. I wasn’t mad he didn’t listen, we just laughed and talked as we “found it” (exactly where I said it was.

Sure enough we walked in saw her behind the bar! She saw us and gave big hugs. We sat there had a couple cocktails, listened to great old school music and laughed and talked with people at the bar.

Do you remember to just nurture your powerful relationship for success?

Make Your Offer from the Stage: 3 Tips

Make Your Offer from the Stage: 3 Tips

make your offer from the stageWhen speaking to sell, the question I am most frequently asked is: “How so I actually make my offer from the stage Ann?” I wish the answer was so simple! Actually though, sharing your offer, and when you do it starts WAY before presenting! These three tips will help to make you more comfortable make your offer from the stage.

1: Have your offer written out on paper and in your handout that you share with the audience. I know this may seem old school to bring a handout! When you do this you achieve several things: A) they have a place to take notes b) psychologically they understand you are in business and have an offer c) they take notes home with them d) they take home your offer and contact info then too!
2: Be sure that when you present you share that you are teaching “from your resource”. Service based professional and especially creative entrepreneurs are often challenged by this because you think YOU are the resource. I said “teach FROM the resource”. What do I mean by that? If you’re going to share three tips to building better relationships because you are a relationship coach when talking about it say “these three tips I teach in my coaching program and I’m going to give you some insights into them today.” I often say: “In my mastermind Compel. Speak. Sell. I have 5 Steps to Selling your Program and today I am going to dive into step 2, how to organize your service so it sells with ease.”

3: When sharing your offer it is incredibly important that you are just as energetically committed to what you say as you were in your presentation! Too often there will be a big breath and a change in energy when you go to make that offer. You need to feel good about it when you present it so energetically it feels right for the audience. Practice this!
In addition a bonus tip for you is to make sure that you are using inclusive language versus language that will deter them. Instead of saying “if you are ready” say “I invite you to come talk to me about your interest in the program.” Or “this program is for you if…”

Oh I could go on and on! Well, I do of course in my Mastermind! Start by learning the 5 steps to being a compelling speaker and sells!

Rejuvenation as a Creative Entrepreneur

Rejuvenation as a Creative Entrepreneur

Rejuvenation as a creative entrepreneur is SOOO important! And this creative entrepreneur needed a break! You might have read my blog last week about how burned out and overwhelmed I was feeling. And the one thing I know work is to play hooky! So last week my husband and I took a drive up to Napa. Napa is one of my favorite places and we can easily get there in about 45 minutes.

Actually part of what I love about living in the San Francisco Bay area is how quickly we can be to many creative and cool things to do. For me though once I enter Napa, I feel like I’ve gone back to an old country that I have grown to love and its energy just engulfs me. I find myself taking a big sigh and releasing so much that has pent-up up when we get there.

This time we drove straight to breakfast, and then Chandon Napa. Chandon is a champagne institution in France yet the US sparkling wine is made in Yountville. Originally when you walk to this property it might feel kind of corporate, LOL, but once you get into the tasting room it’s a pleasant escape. They have great bubbles to taste, amazing still wines that we actually love, and an opportunity to just buy a glass and relax. They even have a yummy little snacks and samples if you need a bite while you’re there. And actually in December we had dinner at their three Michelin star restaurant! Wow that was awesome.
We have been members at Chandon for 2.5, almost 3 years (June 19th…I remember because it was a very special vacation for us!). We love the staff, and how they treat us.

At Chandon Napa enjoying bubbles!

Just sitting there with my husband talking about non-work work related items, and enjoying a glass of bubbles completely allowed me to rejuvenate as a creative entrepreneur! I felt refreshed and alive and ready to go. And immediately wrote three blogs the next day! (Love when I can get them scheduled out!)

Now I feel like I can focus again on the next level of things that I KNOW I need to do; I just needed my creative entrepreneur energy back to achieve them. What do you do when the creative entrepreneur in you is burned out to rejuvenate?
