Pain in My Back has Made Me Feel Sorry for Myself

backToday the pain in my back has made me feel sorry for myself! I know you probably cannot imagine that woman like me is talking about that, (or whining about that!) but running errands today sitting in my car I’m in so much chronic pain and have been for so long I just needed to cry. I’m tired, and worn out, by the constant, physical pain.

Of course I try to be optimistic, and do all the things I’m told to do to help it heal. (I have herniation’s at L4, L5 and S1 if you were wondering)I have moments where I think it’s getting better and then I’d lapse right back into incredible pain. Everything is uncomfortable. Sitting is painful, lying down is uncomfortable, standing is uncomfortable, exercise? Well, I probably don’t need to go there.

My back pain is making me feel sorry for myself because I want my active, full life back. I want to work out with my husband, go for long walks…hell even clean my house without pain. I have been dealing with this heavy chronic pain for year and a half now.

Not that I will ever do it, but I said to my sister this past weekend that I finally understand why people take such serious pain medications. I just want the pain to go away! And nothing in terms of natural healing is working. Now, granted, I have been told that if I want to heal I need to lie down on the floor, not my bed, too soft, and STAY STILL as much as possible. And IF I get up, don’t bend forward.

Ok, have you ever brushed your teeth, or gone to the bathroom? Think about that request…don’t bend…

Yes, the pain in my back has made me feel sorry for myself. So I had my private pity party…maybe I just needed to share too. This kind of physical pain makes it hard to work too. I’ll move on and be a Warrior again…promise.

Speaking to Sell Your ServiceAs a service based professional, there is ONE key to get more speaking engagements. You want more speaking engagements right? Lol! You understand how important it is for marketing and selling your service?

The one key to getting more speaking engagements? Have a clearly designed presentation based on the service or package you would offer.

What does that mean? It means that you have organized what it is you do in a way that makes sense to buyer’s minds. It’s not just enough to say that you are a performance coach, or a life coach, or a business coach in my case. It’s not just enough to give REALLY great content. You have to be able to share in an organized fashion what it is that you do (your offer) when you speak.

This is COMPLETELY different from giving a really great EDUCATIONAL-BASED strategy. If you read my post last week, you have a basic understanding that isn’t enough if you want to SELL your service when you speak.

Ok, Ann got it, it is, but I am not converting….

I know many times when you speak you have to make sure that your presentation is not salesy, even though you can make an offer… or not. When I work with creative intuitive entrepreneurs like you who know what they do serves the world for the better; who know what they do is deserving of a higher price point; I often find that they are missing this critical piece.

So if you want more speaking engagements make absolutely sure you talk is completely related to what you do, organized in a step-by-step logic..

As a huge fan of Napoleon Hills Think and Grow Rich, this was the pivotal “aha-ha” moment in my life. As somebody who loves what she does and does it very naturally, I was comfortable sharing what I know, but it was never organized. You must organize that knowledge. What does that mean? It means putting steps or an order to the problems that you solve for your ideal customers.

This is a MUST

I know some of you were thinking “but Ann, what I do is so organic and unique to every customer.”

business developmentEvery Thursday I dedicate my time to my personal growth and development and my business development. I avoid all costs scheduling coaching calls on Thursdays so I can focus, stay disciplined and get stuff done.

Honestly I bust my ass on Thursday! LOL I just say that out loud? Yeah, I did. Oh well. You cannot be reading the Warrior-Preneurs blog is you are scared of the word ass!

If you’re like me and dedicate your time to your development and learning, as well as your business growth and development you know how much hard work it is. There just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day.

 

I think what separates me from many other lifelong learners and their business development are two things:

1- I implement immediately what I am learning.  So Thursday isn’t just about learning new things, I am strategically learning and putting it into practice that SAME day.

2- I know the difference between learning skills sets I need to flourish and learning because I find the subject interesting, or I am “curious.”

And like you I feel frustrated that I don’t get it all done. And at the same time, to have a successful thriving business, it will never be done. There is a ways new content, or old content to update. There is always a new process or system to learn. There is always new technology, and outdated technology as soon as I learn it.

Like I am learning about tele-seminars and webinars and how to integrate them to my email auto responder system so it all runs smoothly and effectively. And honestly, when I go through trying to organize that in my head it hurts!

Sometimes business development hurts! Have to face that if we want to be wildly successful entrepreneurs.

Speaking to Sell Your ServiceSpeaking to sell your service is a WONDERFUL marketing strategy to get clients! I will never forget being invited to speak on Rick Frishman’s Author University 101 stage. At the time, I was running my coaching programs and happy doing so. I was “rusty” on stage. Well, I wasn’t rusty as a speaker, I was rusty on utilizing the 5 Steps to sell my coaching program on stage. I got up and gave a WOW presentation: TONs of engagement, laughter, participation, applause. People coming to me after wanting pictures with me, telling me how powerful my presentation was…

And I did not close one client.

My cost to travel, stay at the hotel, eat…oh you know, well that expense wasn’t even covered. I did not follow ALL 5 steps. I missed as a matter of fact the most important one: Brand Service.

Oh sure I talked about WHAT I do for my clients. I educated the heck out of them! lol! But not in an organized way to help them know what they were buying.

Have you done that? When speaking to sell your service have you: shared everything, been told how inspiring you are, and not sold a thing? I know, some may say be grateful to speak on such an amazing stage! Sure, absolutely!

Hugging: A Spiritual Warriors healing

I truly believe that Hugging is a Spiritual Warriors healing.

I have always been a great hugger. As a matter fact in elementary school my nickname was huggy, LOL! I know that sounds crazy right! What was your nickname though when you were in elementary school?

I believe in big strong hugs. My husband is always said that he’s never been a fan of patters. You know the people that “kind of” hug you and in A-frame and then pat you on the back and break away quickly? I guess I realized over the years I never really am a fan of them either.

Hugging is a spiritual warriors healing because it is a powerful energy connector when we take the time to be conscious and do it. To embrace somebody and the pour your positive energy through that hog even if for just a couple seconds can be life-changing. And for the spiritual warriors healing connection is important because we so often “go it alone.”

I’ve made a concerted effort over the years to always hug people like that even when I don’t know them. I run my Women Wine and Wisdom mastermind in my home once a month and even new women who come receive a big strong powerful energetically healing hug when they arrive.

Even at business networking events I hug people like this. I think entrepreneurs often need that hug. Of course on occasion I meet somebody who still imposes their A-frame barrier hug on me but I grab them and pour my energy into them. Often I think many are surprised when it happens, LOL! I find though is that the majority settle into that hug and embrace what they are feeling.

I am meeting many spiritual warriors healing online these days, and I can even hug them via online! Yes, I believe in that power, do you?
