I love that there are tons of great resources and content out there. Often, when we are trying to achieve a goal all the resources we can get overwhelmed and not to anything. If, like in the video you want certain results (muscles, organization, increased sales, etc) a system is critical. To me, a true expert can demonstrate to you a system, or approach to get the desired result. Anyone can share “what’s out there”. Experts weed through what’s out there and help you get results.
If you consider yourself an expert ask yourself:
1-how do I show potential customers that I have a process, a system to help them?
2-if my system is one that I use more “mentally” (i.e. as a designer has a system for choosing colors with a client) how will my clients understand its benefits?
3-Do I have internal systems in my company that increase revenue, follow up with customers and demonstrate value?
To me, if you really want to stand out, create systems. Systems allow your customers to see results, to trust you, to come back and want more! My Social Networking Coaching Club is a system, my speaking engagements are internally systematized, my revenue growth is as well.
Where might you need to create a system?

Many of you know I attended Tory Johnson’s Spark and Hustle conference in Los Angeles( in cities all over America in 2011). This last week has been a flurry of positive energy, ideas, creativity, opportunity and growth. Ok I did more than attend, I spoke, but I am not one of those speakers to roll in an hour before my presentation and leave as soon as it’s over! (Yes, I posted my presentation on YouTube in 3 parts, thank you Laurie Hurley for recording!) I hang out, network and participate. I learn. Even with my success, I take advantage of EVERY opportunity to LEARN. Then I evaluate what I need to do to make it happen.
There were some huge TAKE A WAYS even for me:
1-I share my personality, but not enough of my story. See, our stories matter, not for pity, for relate-ability.
2-I do not BRAG enough about what I have achieved. Tory herself stood on stage and said we as women need to get over this and shout our success from the mountain top! See, our successes are what often get us the press, the “foot in the door” to the places that help us get to the next level. Being proud of that success is critical. And we can share it in a loving way! HEY, by the WAY, I spoke on Tory Johnson’s, of Good Morning America, Women for Hire, and Spark and Hustles stage! 🙂
3-Like minded people REALLY matter. We need to surround ourselves with people that will push us to the next level! People who will not let us feel sorry for ourselves. People who will remind us we CAN do anything we set our minds to.
These are 3 CRITICAL pieces that we often forget about as business people. Many of you probably need to think about them as well.
Tory closed the 3 days and told EVERY person in the room to get their Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook Business page accounts up this week (boy, did I love hearing that. Make sure you check out my YouTube channel as to WHY you need them) See, later in the week she will send an email to the participants asking for them, and she will share and ask that we support each other by liking, connecting and following back! AWESOMENESS!
Then I thought wow- why are WE not doing that? You are each amazing people, and we could support each other’s goals by liking our business pages, connecting on Facebook, and following each other on Twitter.
So here is the challenge – Become a WarriorPreneur! See, my subscription for my ebooks etc. is – over there on the right? Join. When you do you will receive an email that will share with you how I am supporting your FACEBOOK PAGE and YOU (your Twitter account) on Twitter. I ask that you stay a WarriorPreneur in exchange for what I will do for you.

Are you in for this challenge? Let’s find out how many incredible people we can support this way- I’m in! Are you? If you are already participating, what do you think?

January is always so amazing isn’t it? New, fresh, creative, starting over – full of all that EXCITING energy- well, guess what? It’s OVER! Here is my VLOG about January!
See, I don’t CARE what NEW exciting energy and ideas you had in January- you have to put in the work to get the results you desire. Here are my three tips:
1-Pick what it is you are REALLY committed to achieving that you generated in January, let go of the rest.
2-Commit 1 HOUR a day, put it in your calendar to work on JUST that thing. This may be classes, reading, development, editing, meditation, journaling- it can be many things depending on the goal. ONE solid hour a day.
3-Set a drop dead date to achieve it. Evaluate your progress, get feedback from people who SUPPORT your achieving the goal.
See, it’s easy right about now just just fall back into old habits. You won’t achieve the “next level” without the discipline for your desired results. Next levels are good things for all of us – just ask Shamu the whale…then keep raising that bar!
What ONE thing are you going to CONVERT to success?

Creating a customer experience is not always easy, but there are great examples every day if you watch. I have been a HUGE fan of Guerrilla Marketing for many years, and recently had an amazing “Guerrilla” customer experience via Twitter. There is nothing more powerful than having it happen to you! You may not be in social media, but you are in customer service. Everyday we are given the opportunity to BE Influential with our customers, internal or external.
Comcast has never really been my favorite. But @ComcastBill is my superhero. I personally think they should have him training the CSR’s that answer the 800 technical issue line. And because of @ComcastBill I’m still a Comcast customer.
What can we learn from @ComcastBill about how we can use a brilliant Guerrilla Marketing techniques to increase customer experiences and be more influential?
Listen more and talk less.
Let the customer have their experience. Understand the power of empathy, even when you think they are RUDE!
Never say “calm down”.
Follow up- are they satisfied now?
If something negative happens; deal with integrity and good communication.
What Guerrilla Marketing techniques can you embrace in your business?

There are many definitions about leadership out there these days, many. I think the simplest I have learned in seminars is “getting results though others.” I like this because it makes you think about where you are a leader. See, too many people think leadership is “something that happens” in Corporate America. No leadership happens in life. Developing the traits, qualities, skills and characteristics of leadership can only help your success.
You can be a leader:
as a first level manager in Corporate America with direct reports
as a team leader, with only “dotted line” team members
as a direct sales or multi-level marketing coach to others wanting success
as a parent with your children
as a small business owner with your staff
as a high level manager in Corporate America with other managers
as an entrepreneur with clients, raving fans, and referrals sources
The opportunity to get results though others is a powerful one! Warrior-Preneurs embrace learning about leadership and incorporating it into who they are.
What are you learning about leadership that has helped you get better results through others? What qualities, skills or traits of leadership do you want to learn about?
