Have many passions, live life passionately, but build a career, a business around a focused passion or an umbrella that will encompass those passions. Also, remember my earlier post about FOCUS. Once you take one passion, monetize it, and develop it to make money with little effort on your part, absolutely add the next passion to do the same!
Lastly, remember that some passions are just meant to be personal. Sometimes it’s just that you LOVE living life- I do! See, I love to exercise. I’ve even had people tell me I’d make a GREAT trainer (well I am a coach right?!), but working out is something I do for me.

Focus everyday is one thing but I am thinking about a bigger, much more important type of focus. Do you know these people? Could you be one? I have a friend or two that I adore, but they are just like the Jamaicans in “In Living Color”. Remember in the 1990’s a TV show called In Living Color and they did these skits called “Hey Mon” (The Jamaicans, do you remember? The video of one is linked). That is the kind of focus I am talking about!
This is a great book about focus, can’t go wrong with Mark Victor Hansen right? I have decided to add it to my list again for getting my dang book done!

Update as of 2/6/11: Market Me Suite is SWEET! Version THREE is out! And it’s simply amazing. Yes they have had some bugs to work out, but because their customer service is SO awesome (I love you Tammy and team) they fix things quickly. The new facebook integration rocks, all my pages and groups are included so I can post with a signature to them. I love that I can create a hashtag signature, it made it so EASY for me to tweet from conferences and events with their hashtag, as it auto loads, and I can create a pane to watch EVERYONE’s tweets! They have also created what’s called “dotted Tweets”. On twitter all you can do is favorite a tweet. With dotted tweeted you can use color for specific tweets you need to keep track of (for example I like to keep testimonial or press tweets, and now I can organize them!) Right now the yearly price for version three is crazy cool $29.99 – worth trying, because everything else it does (see this post and their site!) Market Me Suite is SWEET!
Update as of 12/30/10: Wow! Market Me Suite continues to impress me and help me be MORE successful with my marketing strategy! Through tomorrow LIFETIME access is just $89, yearly, $49! Version 3.0 is coming out in Jan 2011, and I have just received a SNEAK PEAK. What they are doing will help my clients even more to grow their presence and market their business! See Twitter, just from an SEO standpoint is important, but this program does so much more than Twitter. New updates coming are:
-Dotted Tweets (totally unique, more on this later!)

UPDATE as of 8/16/10: Market me Tweet is now becoming Market Me Suite because of all the features they have added and are continuing to add this product is worth every penny. Pricing has changed, but you might have noticed Hootsuite is adding these features as well (coming soon), at a much higher price point! The investment has gone up since I did this video, but it is so worth the investment in your business. My click throughs have tripled from Twitter to my website!
I also HIGHLY recommend that my corporate clients use this product for corporate exposure, right now the corporate plan is crazy good because you can have UNLIMITED accounts with it and amazing customer support!
As graduates of my bootcamp and lifetime members of my Social Networking Coaching Club will tell you, one thing I do is make myself guinea pig to all the apps and new programs out there to see if they are worth your time. It can be exhausting, haha, but what you know is I don’t recommend anything I wouldn’t use myself.
Twitter, let’s face it can be a beast, but tools like Hootsuite (which I have blogged about before as I love it) make it easier. But have you ever noticed that there is a prime piece of real estate on each and every tweet? Every tweet tells you when and WHERE they tweeted from. Where they tweet from is a link back to their site. So if you tweet from Hootsuite your tweets say “via Hootsuite” with a link to Hootsuite.com (you can click on the pic to see the larger version).
Market me Tweet (yes I am an affiliate-it’s a GREAT product!) has done something amazing! Now you can have that link be the name of YOUR business! (like mine in the pic) Watch this video to see what Market Me Tweet can do for you! My website traffic is up 500% on average just because of this tool!
What a great investment for your business! SEO and visibility! I think you will be glad you made this investment! Yes, the price has gone up since I did this video, but I’d happily pay it!

I know I get it, immediate gratification feels good. And often we want the immediate result versus the one that will actually work. So we keep building new programs, making new “special offers” – hoping for those fast results. Think about how persistent you are as you watch this video:
See those calla lilies never gave up, and they are now reaping the rewards. Sometimes I think it’s easy to feel like they did over the last several years; tired, neglected, your heart and soul not nourished. Those things come when you are persistent.
I mentioned blogging as an example, persistence is key with blogging. And let’s face it, it’s NOT easy! Writing, doing a video, uploading, tagging, sending it out to the world. And it sits. Finally a friend may comment. BUT with persistence, by knowing who you are and what you have to offer the world, your voice can be heard and clients show up.
“blog about inspirational ideas…I just landed a client…client says, we should get together…I say, yes, it’s important that we click as it’s a very intimate process to be in your home the way I am…client says, oh not a problem, we’ve been all over your blog and already love you and what you do (including the color you use say’s the wife)! Oh yea…that’s why I do that!”
That is why I love the work I do.
Persistence pays off, I know cliche, right? WRONG! It’s true- ask those calla lilies in my front yard.

It’s truly amazing that when you choose to use social media as a SOCIAL marketing tool, a networking tool if you will, what can happen! I love the go-givers that participate with Warrior-Preneur and do my best to spread the word about who they are! I also believe that your ability to reach out and help someone that is already a go-giver is just plain smart! Lastly, I believe we as entrepreneurs learn from each others’ stories! There is so much wisdom inside them!

1 – one thing that makes you – not your biz unique: I think it has to be my love of learning in all aspects of life. The older I get the more I want to learn in fact. My first ski instructor, when I had my first lesson the week before my 49th birthday, told me that I’m very teachable and I love that compliment. I work as an independent contractor and the role is very varied. I market to find new families and have to figure out new and inventive ways of doing that – hence my loving Ann’s training, I interview new families, I hold monthly Au Pair meetings so I can get my Au Pairs together and see that they are doing okay, I conduct mediation’s and transitions when the host family/Au Pair relationship isn’t working out and I hold orientations for new host families and Au Pairs.
6- who would you most like to meet ( type of person) that would help you get to the next level: I would like to continue to meet more female entrepreneurs who have, like me, emerged like a butterfly from motherhood and who continue to learn and grow and who are successful.
